Just one!

Yes, we ony saw one baby in there! The old wives tale about the egg yolk is just that.......a tale! lol! I had my first doctor's appointment on Tuesday, and what an exciting day that was! If you are a woman, you know that first doctor appointment is not fun! Well, my appointment was for 8:00 AM.....that is IN THE MORNING! For those of you that know me, KNOW that I am NOT a morning person. So, I had to start getting ready for this doctors appointment on Monday night. All was well. I even went to bed at 10:30! However, I could hardly sleep thinking that I was going to oversleep! *rolls eyes* Then, sure enough, Sarah Joy wakes up at 5:30 crying and whining. I lay in bed thinking she will go back to sleep. She didn't! I finally snuck (is that the right word?) into her room and gave her the beloved passy. Well, that was not enough for little miss Sarah Joy. She wanted Mommy. So, as mommy tried sneaking back out of her room, she would have nothing of it! She then let out her horendous scream of "I don't think so!". I just kept stumbling my way back to my bed to get under my warm covers. She only cried for a minute, praise the Lord, and then she was thankful Mommy had snuck (there is that word again) into her room to give her passy! So, then I lay in bed, wide awake thinking if I fall back asleep now, I will probably fall into this deep sleep and be a complete and utter bear when I have to get up in 45 minutes. I contemplated going ahead and getting up but that would mean getting out from under my warm covers! Yikes! The bed won and I did fall asleep but not soundly. When it was finally time to get up, I didn't feel like I had slept at all , plus we all (minus Noah and Sarah Joy because a babysitter was coming over at 7:15) had 30 minutes to get ready to leave! Ok, so the mad rush begins. "Get up! Get dressed! Quit playing! We are leaving in 15 minutes even if you have to go to school in your pajamas! Eat!" I think you get the picture. As I am in my bathroom putting my finishing touches on, I hear Caleb come running from the other end of the house screaming "YES! There is a 2 hour delay in school because of the weather!" I screamed "What????" as I went to watch the TV. The weather had turned horrible and all the wet roads were turning to black ice! I was like No way! I have to go to my dr's appt! I am already almost done with my first trimester! We called one of Caleb's teachers and she said early stay was open, but the police are telling everyone to stay put. She also said the road that the school is on was closed because everyone was going into the ditch! So now what? I am supposed to be at my dr's appt in 30 minutes, but we aren't supposed to be on the road! I tried calling my dr's office but noone answered until 8 (my appt time!). They were able to reschedule me for 10, but if I could get there earlier then good. We had decided we would just take the kids to school after my dr's appt, but before we could leave for the appt, they had cancelled school altogether! So, off we go to the appointment with no complications. The visit was good. We had our first ultrasound and they said the due date is August 15. The dr. said everything looks perfect! Yay! So, there you have it! :+)

he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy;
he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

Faithful Men's Meeting

This week has been our Faithful Men's meeting at the Temple Baptist Church. We have had guest speaker Robert Bakss from Australia here with us and he has been such a blessing and encouragement! The meeting started off with the Faithful Men's Banquet on Saturday night, the 12th and that was just for the men and boys 6th grade and up.
Here is some pictures of a display they had set up of an actual 1611 KJ Bible!

Here at the table is the author John Phillips. They had a short time before the banquet for him to sign books. Ski knew this ahead of time and gathered up books from the house that we already had that he had written and he was able to get Mr. Phillips to autograph them! The first picture is of Mr. Bakss getting a book signed.

This is Caleb with Bob Bevington, a precious, godly preacher from the area. He usually preaches at our Spring Bible Conference.
This is Robert Bakss with Caleb and Austin. We are making a book for the boys room which is done in camoflauge, but the theme is being in the Army of the Lord. The book is a camo photo album with pictures of the boys with different preachers that come through their paths, the preachers fav verse and where he is serving the Lord. We call it the boys "Book of Faith". I am hoping it will be something they will always treasure as they grow older!
This is Caleb and Austin with Jeff O'derry. He came with Bro. Bakss from Australia.
He is currently on deputation to become a missionary, with his family, to the country of Madagascar. www.theoderrys.com
Here is Austin wearing Bro. Jeff's Australian hat. As you can see, Bro. Jeff is a really big guy. The boys kept telling me he is Bro. Bakss bodyguard. I'm not sure how true that is. On Monday night, Ski and Caleb sang in the men's choir, and it just so happened that Bro. Jeff sat on the end of our pew and was right beside Austin. Austin's eyes got huge like saucers, but they are "buds" now. During the invitation, Austin asked me if I would go pray with him, but that would have left Bethany in the pew with no adult supervision (enough said, right?), so I leaned over and said "Why don't you ask Bro. Jeff if he would go pray with you?" to which Austin did ask and Bro. Jeff gladly obliged! I am very thankful for Austin's boldness and I am praying the Lord will be able to use that for his glory as Austin gets older. Last night, we were sitting on the pew behind Bro. Jeff and on the other side, but Bro. Jeff was sitting by himself with a pew full of ladies whose husbands were singing in the choir. So, during handshaking time, Austin went over to him and said "Can I sit with you?" to which Bro. Jeff said "Yeah, if there is room, mate"!
This is Caleb, Austin and Ski with Bro. T.J. Tilley. Bro. Tilley is the man responsible for starting the church in England where Ski was saved at (under a different pastor at that time) and also where we met many years ago! I owe this man a very big thank you for listening to the call of God on his life and going to England and starting Faith Baptist Church!
Bethany snagged Pastor after the service last night for him to sign her new Bible she got for Christmas. Thank you Pastor for taking time out for our children!
2 Timothy 2:2
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

Military Spotlight, John Crow

This is a small video clip from Sunday night when the military spotlight was on my cousin, John Crow. Some of our family wasn't able to watch it, so this is for them! I love you all and am praying for you!

Caleb is 11!!!!

***Note: I will post more about the pictures later.
It took me many more hours than I expected getting the pictures on here and in order,
and now I must go get things done.
Enjoy the pictures!***
Well, I can hardly believe Caleb has turned 11 years old already! He is our first born son and all the other children's big brother. He is a wonderful big brother and son. Caleb, you are such an important part of our family, and we are thankful to God for putting you in our family! Always allow the Lord to use you for His glory!

Here are some highlights from your life:

We celebrated last night after church. I made cupcakes that Caleb picked out and each of the kids got to put decorate their own. They had alot of fun.
