Happy 12th Birthday, Caleb!

  • C- Caring
  • A- Awesome
  • L- Loving
  • E- Enjoyable
  • B- Believes in Jesus Christ for his soul salvation.

These are just some of the characteristics I thought of when remembering our son, Caleb,
on his birthday!
Caleb, you are a caring person. You help with your younger siblings with such tenderness. You are just all around awesome! You are loving to me and Daddy and to your brothers and sisters (when you want to be). You are enjoyable to be around. Your sense of humor is fantastic. Most importantly, you believe in Jesus Christ as the only way to Heaven, and you have asked Him to come into your heart and life and save you from being eternally seperated from Him in a literal burning Hell. Therefore, I am sure that when we die, we will be together forever in the presence of Jesus Christ. That means more to me than anything! What would mean so much to Caleb on his birthday is for our lost family members who are lost to realize their need for salvation. We pray for you daily. We pray that you would accept Jesus as your personal Saviour before it is eternally too late. If you would like to know more about how you can KNOW you are on your way to Heaven, please click on the "Are you Ready" button on the left. For all of our family to be together in Heaven, one day, is our earnest prayer.

So big!

It is hard to believe that Jared is 5 months old already. I thought I would post a couple of his latest accomplishments since I haven't posted on him in awhile.

He has learned to sit up!! He loves to sit up, but he doesn't like the tipping over part.

Of course, who would, really? These are some pictures that Caleb took of Jared yesterday. Caleb put lots of blankets around him so Jared wouldn't get hurt if/when he fell over! Wasn't that sweet?

Jared has also learned to hold his own bottle. That was kind of a necessity in this family. I mean, if you want to eat, you need to learn to feed yourself, right? Otherwise you must wait your turn and sometimes that isn't Jared's idea of fun! :)

Well, that's our baby Jared for now. He will be learning lots more in the coming months and before long I will be chasing him through the house. Right now he is trying to help me type. If only this could actually be a teaching experience. I am just visualizing Helen Keller when she was walking around with her teacher and was touching everything and holding the teacher's hand while she signed. Ok, maybe I'm being a little hopeful, but wouldn't that be cool?
"Ok, now Jared, put your hands on my hands and type.....this is 'A'".
Oh well, that's my vision for this morning!

"Are you for real, Mom?????"

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

New Years Eve 2008

Even through all the sickness that has been passed back and forth in our household, we were still able to have a mini-party on New Year's Eve and bring in the New Year together. We had invited a few couples/families over, but for numerous reasons most weren't able to come. Here is Alana waiting for Derrick and Julianna's arrival.....the suspense was just too much for her! :)Our "new" friends, Derrick and Julianna (who were married on Jared's birth day), came over with her out-of-town Mom, Belinda, and brother, Jonathon (sitting by Ski in the picture below). We ate some yummy food including veggie soup, meat, cheese and crackers, bbq weenies, grapes, cookies, chips and punch. We then played the piano, sang songs and played the wii until the new year. We had alot of fun and are very grateful to the Lord for bringing this special couple into our lives. The Lord has His hand on their lives and it is exciting to watch them serve the Lord.

We hope you are all enjoying 2009 so far.
Keep looking up....Jesus is coming soon!
