First day swimming

Well, we "finally" (according to the kids) got the pool set up! We had a great day yesterday. The weather was perfect so the kids had a blast. Enjoy our pictures.
The first picture is of Austin who is doing the first jump of the summer!
CANNONBALL!!!!

Bethany wasn't quite as brave on the first jump.
She kinda eased her way in with a "girlie jump".

I had to ask her to show me how she swims under water.
She then just stuck her face under! hehehe!
Next comes Alana with Noah right behind.
Alana comes prepared with her snorkle! *giggle*
Next thing we know, Noah decides to jump. He just doesn't realize how small he is! He thinks he is just as big as the others. I was taking a picture of Alana when I heard him jump, so I just started snapping pictures, not sure if I was even getting a picture of Noah. He is so small, he didn't have enough weight to put his feet on the bottom of the pool, therefore, wasn't able to stand back up after his jump. Bethany and Alana both came to his rescue, after they realized he WASN'T swimming!
The water isn't even over his head, he just couldn't get his feet down. Poor kid. Here is the whole group looking like a, well, a great bunch of kids!!! *very big grin*
Caleb missed out on the action shots because when we were "rescuing" Noah, Austin decided to jump again and got my camera all wet, then I was too nervous being a watchful hawk, that we didn't get any more pictures! Sorry, Caleb. I will get more of you next time!

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.
Proverbs 30:12
There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes,
and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

Bounce House

On Monday, we had a birthday party for Austin who turned 9 on May 7th. We went to Bounce House!! It was so much fun. Here are some random pics of the Bounce House plus some exciting pics of the kids sliding. They go so fast, it was hard to get good pictures. We are hoping to take my neice up there when she comes to see us this summer! *smile*

James 4:14

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow.

For what is your life?
It is even a vapour,
that appeareth for a little time,
and then vanisheth away.

Matthew 6:24

No man can serve two masters:

for either he will hate the one,
and love the other;
or else he will hold to the one,
and despise the other.
Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

We have some baby birds!!!

A few days ago I told you about the nest with eggs in it! We saw today that 2 out of the 5 eggs have hatched! How exciting!
It doesn't look very sturdy, does it? It is wedged pretty tight in there
so we are praying that it stays until the birds fly away!

Matthew 6:26
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Look what I can do!

Hi! This is Sarah Joy speaking and you aren't going to believe how I surprised Mommy today! She sat me in my crib, as she normally does when I am just playing, then she walked out of the room for only about 30 seconds. When she came back, this is what she saw! Yes, I am standing up. I can't see what is going on when she keeps sitting me down in my crib!

I also had my first piece of baby toast stuff. I don't know what it is called, but it sure was yummy. Only thing was, the more I chewed on it, the more slippery it got, and I just couldn't hold on to it! Boy, was I a mess. Mom had to put me right in the tub when I was done! That was fun too, though!
Uh oh! I hear Mom coming! I better get off of here real quick!
She doesn't know I can type yet! *wink*

Proverbs 20:11
Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure,
and whether it be right.

Enjoying the evening

Last night, we were able to enjoy the evening sitting outside. Sarah Joy is still discovering grass and the dog. Smokie is very gentle with her. He will usually come up and kiss her (gross) and then lie right beside/behind her. Every now and then she will reach over and touch him and he will lift his head to her. It is really sweet to watch, seeing that Smokie tackles all the other kids.
It is amazing how he knows she is a baby!
Sarah Joy and Noah (another one of my children with a dirty face! *sigh*)
Alana, Sarah Joy and Noah (with his new hair cut!)

Sarah Joy doesn't care too much for this hairy thing that keeps laying beside her.

Oooooooh, I'm tellin'!!
Smokie is showing everyone how big he is! However, Sarah Joy is not impressed!

Look at this, Sarah Joy!

Precious little feet.

Smokie is very gentle with Sarah Joy! He loves to lie beside her.

Dogs are like, so yucky!

Another yard sale!

Ok, so if you know me, you know I love to go yardsaling. Well, this past Saturday it was supposed to rain, so I was not planning on going out. However, when I got up to feed the baby, it was only cloudy. I talked my hubby into going (no, he doesn't like going yardsaling, but he usually finds more deals than I do when we go, which is probably why he doesn't want to go, cuz that means more money to spend. Yes, I know that was a compound sentence!)
We went to a couple of yard sales and found some things at really good prices. We then went to one and the girl was closing up shop, so to speak. She wanted it all gone, and I volunteered to take it for her! We were totally loaded up in our van. Fortunately, we didn't have far to go.
Praise the Lord for unexpected blessings!

See the blue piggy bank in the back left? It is sitting on a nice SET of luggage that we got for only $10! The 2 pictures in front of the luggage was in the free stuff! All the garbage bags you see were also included in the free stuff. My little "time-out" boy was only $1! Isn't he cute? For all this stuff, we spent around $30 all together, with $10 of it being just for the luggage.

All of the hang up clothes were free as well! We got alot of use out of the clothes and the rest of the clothes will go to our church's clothes closet to help out college students or anyone else who can use them! Praise the Lord!
Squished! *giggle*
Matthew 6:31 & 32
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink?

or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:)

for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
