Undefeated!

Yes, Austin was undefeated in the Cub Scouts Grand Prix District Competition! It was so awesome! His car didn't do so great at our pact competition, but Papa gave Austin some pointers on how to make his car better, and it worked! Thanks Papa!
Here are some of the different cars that were entered in the race.
You can barely see Austin's car in the lead. They had the track hooked up to a computer. The cars all raced in all 4 lanes, then they went by the fastest time out of all the cars!

The boys all waiting to hear the final results!
Austin Ford........1st place for speed!
Austin and Lane are both from Pack 221 and they took 1st and 2nd place in the district competition! Good job boys!

The winner, Austin Ford!

A picture is worth a thousand words!

Hebrews 12:1 & 2
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us,
and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross,
despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Fun over Spring Break and.....

Happy birthday to meeeeee!! Yes, I really had a birthday on Saturday. We have been so busy! Spring break, my birthday, Resurrection Sunday, then today we find out (hopefully) if baby is a girl or boy! For my birthday and for the kids spring break, Ski took off work on Friday to take us to South Carolina to see my family! I was so excited and had a wonderful time! Thank you honey for taking us down there! We got down there late on Thursday. On Friday morning, we surprised my grandmother by meeting her at a restaurant for lunch (at 11 AM!!!). She was just expecting my mom and dad. That was fun! We then went and saw my grandfather and his wife and surprised them too. My dad called him and said he has someone who wants to see them. The weather was beautiful so the kids got to play outside lots. They helped Papa work in the yard, played ball, rode bikes and rollerblades, played with bubbles and sidewalk chalk. It was a fun refreshing time. On Saturday morning, Ski and Dad took me and the whole family out for breakfast at IHOP! Yummo! We also had our Easter/birthday dinner and my brother, SIL, neice and grandmother all came over to help celebrate. Then on Sunday, we got up at 6:30AM to get everyone ready for the Sonrise service at 8:00AM (which was outside and was very cold as you can see!), church wide breakfast at 9:00AM, Sunday School at 10:00AM then church at 11:00AM. This was the change march they have before they split up into their Sunday School classes. I was asked to play the piano for the service, which I gladly obliged (You can sort of see me in the above picture! LOL!). I enjoy playing the piano esp with dad leading the singing! When church was done, we loaded up and headed home and made it back in time for our evening church service. To say the least, we were all tired by the time we got home! Some of us were tired while still in the van

others played with game boys, while

others played with lunch meat! *sigh*

"See ya later" to some friends

Well, our dear friends have left (happens alot around here! *snif*) and have moved to be pastor of a church in Illinois. Although we are so excited for them, we are sad to see them go! 3 of their youngest children stayed with us while they were loading their truck and cleaning their house, so here are a few pictures from our fun day. Romans 10:15
And how shall they preach, except they be sent?
as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace,
and bring glad tidings of good things!

I don't think this is what they meant by......

Power Wheels!!

The kids were playing outside yesterday and when I went outside to check on them, this is what came around the corner of the house. Maybe it is time to charge up the battery? They were having fun anyways! LOL! Woa, Noah! Too tight of a turn!

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear;
but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Snow in March??

I had to write and tell you about our weekend! First, when we woke up on Saturday, this is what we found! Can you believe it? What happened to Spring being on it's way? We are hoping that the cold killed off any bugs still lingering around and maybe we won't have as many mosquitos this year. We can hope, can't we?

The kids enjoyed being outside, so that was a good thing about the snow. It was our first "big" snow of the year. Some of you reading my blog, who have like tons of snow, are probably laughing at me, but really, this was alot of snow for us! :+)

Saturday night, after baths, I curled Alana and Bethany's hair as Sarah Joy watched. She then let me know in her baby way that she wanted to be included. So, I obliged her. That night after she was asleep, I went and checked on the girls, as I usually do before I go to bed, and she was lying on her back, stiff as a board. She is usually all curled up holding her blanket with a finger in her mouth, but not tonight. She looked afraid to move. THose of you who ever slept with pink curlers in your hair, know what I am talking about! It was hilarious! The outcomes were all precious. The girls were beautiful once again for church on Sunday.

Psalms 68:19
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits,
even the God of our salvation. Selah.
