Are you ready?

Rapture: The Rapture is a prophesied event in which living Christians, as well as the bodies of those Christians who have died, are suddenly taken away from the earth to be with Jesus Christ. Everyone else on earth will be left wondering where the raptured people have disappeared to. This will take place when Jesus descends from heaven accompanied by the spirits of the aforementioned deceased.
When will this take place?
Jesus said in Matthew 24:36
"But of that day and hour knoweth no man,
no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."
It is going to happen, but only God in Heaven knows when. Christians, we must always be ready. My friend, if you don't know if you are ready for the rapture.....the return of Jesus......I know how you can be ready. Let me tell you my story .
Jesus is coming soon
Morning or night or noon
Many will meet their doom
Trumpets will sound.
All of the dead shall rise
Righteous meet in the skies
Going where no one dies
Heavenward bound.
I'm ready for the rapture.....are you?

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Fellowship

We had a very busy Saturday! It started early with Angel Food Distribution at the College. After we were done there, we went home, went potty, changed diapers, grabbed a bite to eat and were off to Caleb's soccer game, which he won, by the way, even though we got terribly rained on! They are undefeated! They have won all 4 games so far! Yay!! After the soccer game, we came home for about an hour, cleaned out the van, changed diapers and went to Mount Moriah Camp for our section 2 fellowship. We had a great time and a big thank you goes out to the Swain's and anyone who helped them organize this time for us to all get together! Here are some highlights from the fellowship.
We had a group of very talented musicians provide us with some great music! Noah and Sarah Joy loved to watch and listen to them!
We had an open fire to roast hot dogs.
Mr. Swain thanking the Lord for our food.
Sarah Joy with her friend, Paige. They are 1 month apart.
Caleb and others at the fire.
Bethany getting straight to the important stuff....eating!

Sarah Joy and Daddy enjoying a nice dinner on the grounds.

There was even fixings for S'mores!!! Yummo!

Mr. Swain is showing Austin how to roast the perfect marshmallow! My big ole boy,
Jared.
Ok,
I have finally admitted to myself that he does have red hair.
Someone keeps asking me while looking at his pictures online if he has red hair.
I guess I have been in denial,
but today while looking at him outside,
he does have red tints to his hair,
even his eyebrows.
So,
Mom,
you may have a red headed grandchild yet!
;0)

Noah is an example of the way we all felt at the end of this busy,
wet day!
The kids loved every minute of it.
Rain,
outdoors,
mud....most kid's dream!
Needless to say,
after baths tonight,
they all went straight to bed without much fuss!

1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light,
as he is in the light,
we have fellowship one with another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Sleeping

We have had some funny sleeping stories, so I thought I would do a whole post dedicated to sleeping children! :0)
Jared is still able to sleep wherever,
whenever,
in whatever position!
He looks so uncomfortable, doesn't he??
Even big boys say their prayers at night!
Austin, last summer, at Nonnie and Papa's house.
Alana was tired coming home from Nonnie and Papa's house.
It's hard work getting spoiled by grandparents!
Here is Bethany with her baby sleeping at Nonnie and Papas house.
Look at this chub!
No, not Ski!!
Jared!!!
His face looks like a shar-pei puppy's face!!!
What a porker!
The other day, Sarah Joy was being such a bear.
I said "why don't you go lay down on your bed and take a nap".
She said "no."
After a few minutes, I realized it was awfully quiet.
I went to check to see what she was getting into and found her asleep in her bed,
under the covers and all.
She must have been REALLY tired! :0)
No, he isn't saying his nightly prayers.
Noah is actually sleeping like this!
This was too funny!
Psalms 4:8
I will both lay me down in peace,
and sleep:
for thou,
LORD,
only makest me dwell in safety.

So much going on

I have been a little slow in blogging the last little bit. There has been alot to post about, so this will probably be a little lengthy.....at least with the pictures, but that is the best part, right?

Here is a picture of me and Caleb on the way to his 1st soccer game.

Caleb is goalie this year for the junior high soccer team.
They have won all 3 games so far! Yay!

This is Noah with Austin's new magic set. Noah is trying his hardest to make the little ball go through the cup. The magician, Austin, showed Noah that you blow on the top and tap the side and voila........it goes through. It just didn't seem to work for Noah.
I guess that means Austin did a great job as a magician!

One must always check each other before leaving the house to make sure one's tie is on properly when getting dressed by one's self. *smile*
2 of our handsome boys! Caleb, 11 and Noah, 4.
So sweet or so bored?? Not quite sure! :0)Austin's new "friend". He is an animal lover, that's for sure. This little guy stayed around for about a week until some little someone put him in his wagon to take him for a walk, and he got away.Precious baby feet!! Jared, 6 weeks old

Jared is starting to become of aware of his surroundings.
He is a very content, happy baby for which we are ALL very grateful!

Jared talking to Daddy.

Talking to Mommy.Does he like his bath? I don't know, but at least he isn't screaming! ~Note to self: Don't forget to put the chips away after lunch or some little someone will sneak in the dining room when she wakes up from her nap and help herself! Her new love, besides eating cheetos off the floor (ew), is shoes! She loves to wear shoes and it doesn't matter who they belong to!Sarah Joy also loves her Daddy. She is looking out the window to see if he was home yet.Caleb caught her in the snack drawer. Sneaky little thing......both of them! ;0)As you can see, Jared is not too phased by his surroundings. He has adjusted quite well. Of course, what other surroundings does he know? Isn't everyone's home *this* loud??

Can you say "Bad hair day"? I think she was probably scheming in her sleep of what she was going to do the next day!"Who me?"

I'm not sure how Bethany and Alana missed out on all the pictures this time, but they are still alive and well! We are so thankful for our family and the fun times that we have. Our house may get messy, be messy or even stay messy, but that means we have a family that lives here to mess it up! Thanks for checking in with us!

Psalms 118:23
This is the LORD's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

Noah loves K4!!

I just received some pictures of Noah taken by his teacher from school. How wonderful it was to see him enjoying his day. I miss him (and all the other kids) when they are in school, but am so thankful for Temple Baptist Academy and Temple Baptist Church! I am also thankful for Noah's teacher. He already adores her and that says alot about her character! Kids know, don't they? Anyways, this is just a quick post for you to enjoy Noah in his K4 day too!!!
They were practicing their letter's by finger painting in shaving cream. Can you tell he is enjoying himself?? LOL!
Here is Noah with one of his very best friends, "Johnny Johnny"!!

Thank you Miss Skjerli for the wonderful glimpse into your day with my Noah!
