OK, so I am a little late to post about the first day of school seeing that today marks the last day of the first week of school! Oh well........better late than never, right??
Orientation was the 15th. The kids were all excited about getting back into the swing of things.
Caleb, 7th grade, Austin, 5th grade, Alana, 4th grade, Bethany, 1st grade, Noah, K4.

Sarah Joy had to join the kids for the picture.

Jared couldn't be left out of the picture!
Ashton, my neice, started feeling left out! :0)
These are all the grands on my side from oldest to youngest!
Noah, trying hard to sit still and listen while Mr. Hickman was talking.

The first morning.
Noah, K4

Noah with his teacher, Miss (it sounds like) Shirley!
*Sorry, but I don't know how to spell her name yet!*

Bethany, 1st grade

Bethany with her teacher, Miss Qualls.

Alana, 4th grade

Alana with her teacher, Miss Qualls, oops, I mean Mrs. Padgett!

Austin, 5th grade

Caleb, 7th grade

Doesn't this picture look just pittiful?? Why is he sitting in the Academy office you ask? His parents were late picking him up on his first day of K4!!!! Isn't that awful? We got stuck in the dr's office and couldn't make it back in time. I told Ski we were going to traumatize him by not picking him up on time his first day! We are so sorry Noah!

Sarah Joy has had a hard time waiting up for Noah to get home from school.
I think she was also feeling left out, with 5 kids going to school, then the attention a newborn gets. She decided to get her fingers slammed in the van door so she can get a little attention herself. Well, ok, maybe she didn't decide to do that, but it made for a good blog story. She did get her fingers smashed in a heavy 15 passenger van door, but thank the Lord, they were not broke or even fractured, which we found out after yet another trip to the dr.

Well, that is the happenings of our lives over the last 2 weeks. Well, besides the fact that Jared has jaundice and is having to go to the dr every morning since the 11th! This too shall pass, right? "I am looking forward to the time when I can look back on all of this!" I heard that this morning on the way to the dr and it encouraged my heart!
Psalms 138:3
In the day when I cried thou answeredst me,
and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.

Hi! You don't know me, but I'm a friend of Amanda Tyler's (missionary to Brazil out of your church) and Stephen and Melody Collins. I have enjoyed reading your blog, which I found by "blog hopping" one day. You have a beautiful family! Congratulations on your new little boy! I have four children, and I'm exhausted all the time! But when I see another little one I think maybe just one more...:)He's so sweet!
I just wanted to drop by and say hello!
