Valentine Day Food

Can I just tell you how much I love Valentine's Day? With 7 children it is hard to figure out what to do that would please everyone despite the age differences. Food always seems to be the way to go. Last Valentine's Day, I made these suckers. They are Tootsie Pops, dipped in melted chocolate and then dipped in sprinkles. I snagged the empty pink box at Wal-mart which was perfect to hold the suckers while they were hardening! It was pretty frugile too, if I do say so myself! :) We had a few suckers left over, so we wrapped them in valentine tissue paper, tied it with a ribbon and the kids took one to each of their teachers the next day!

I still had some leftover melted chocolate, and it just so happened that I had some strawberries!

Thus completing our valentine dinner with the kids: A certain $5 pizza (or 2), chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate covered tootsie pop and a capri sun! Sounds wonderful, doesn't it? Ok, well it would sound wonderful if you were a child, which is who the dinner was for! hehehe!

On valentine's day morning, I made heart shaped egg toast. All I did was take a piece of bread and a heart shaped cookie cutter and made the heart center. I put the bread in the frying pan with some non-stick cooking spray and cracked an egg in the middle. Love easy, yet creative!

We couldn't let the heart centers go to waste, so naturally we made..........

......heart shaped french toast! It was a hit!
