It's that time again!

Wow! I can't believe it is that time again! It is time for school to start. We had our orientation Friday night and school will officially start on Tuesday, the 14th. Caleb will be starting middle school as he is entering 6th grade, which means different teachers! They are preparing him for next year when he will actually be changing classes! He is in for alot of new stuff this year. His mom can't believe she is the mother of a middleschooler! Where has time gone? Austin is in 4th grade. He will be able to compete in more competitions this year, which is exciting.

Austin's teacher is Miss Qualls. She was also Caleb's 4th grade teacher. I asked her if she remembered Caleb as her student (ya know, how he was? We know she knows him!) to which she replied that she did. We warned her that Caleb and Austin are nothing alike! Caleb is a book worm and learns independently. Austin likes the hands on stuff and he needs lots of reminders. Both boys are extremely smart (not just a mom talking here!), they just learn differently.

Alana is in 3rd grade. She will be playing basketball and volleyball this year with the intramural leagues that starts in 3rd grade.Alana's has a new teacher but not one she isn't familiar with. She was a student teacher in Alana's 1st grade class, although she was known as Miss Booth back then. She is now Mrs. Ruwersma (sorry if I didn't spell it right! Poor kids! hehehe!).

Bethany is a big kindergartner, which means she will be staying at school all day this year!

Bethany's kindergarten class has 41 enrolled, so they had to split up the classes. Mrs. D has one class and Mrs. Ewing has the other. Mrs. Ewing has the privilege of having Bethany in her class. Or should I say, we have the privilege of having Mrs. Ewing as a teacher? It's true either way if you ask me!

So, they are all having some changes this year. We are very excited about a new year!

I was in school with Anna R., and Mary Qualls. They are both so great! They'll be great teachers. And Mrs. Ewing is such a pro. I'm sure your kids will have a great year!
